This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization in our community. We are committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Chief Financial Officer serves on the CEO’s senior leadership team; oversees and manages financial matters, investments and IT systems. This position also provides strategic direction and leadership for YMCA business operations and initiatives.
Qualifications
Essential Functions
Monitors monthly financial operations, prepares analysis and reports, and gives guidance to executive and operating staff. Works closely with operations staff on issues that affect financial outcome. Secures and allocates program or project resources so that strategic objectives can be achieved. Prepares specific recommendations.
Reviews, updates, and/or develops internal control systems for the YMCA and oversees internal audits which check for compliance on a variety of policies and standards. Provides recommendations for improvement.

Manages the operations of the accounting/finance, payroll, information systems and other assigned departments.
Oversees and certifies the annual audit and meets periodically with the outside auditors to maintain communications and keep them informed of changes in the YMCA. Ensures that current accounting standards and legal requirements are met.
Actively engages the board in challenging conversations and decision making to advance the Y’s impact. Works directly with assigned committee(s) of the board (e.g., Finance, Insurance, Investment, Audit) to build volunteer relationships, develop policies, monitor their implementation and meet the related needs of the board.
Anticipates trends and their implications on the future of the organization. Manages investments, under the direction of the Investment Committee, and within the risk tolerance expressed by the Board via the asset allocation policy.
Develops performance indicators and measurement systems for tracking strategic plan objectives. Evaluates current business models and leads efforts to modify or redesign business models where necessary.
Oversees preparation of reports to YMCA of the USA and governmental agencies. Oversees preparation of tax returns including IRS Form 990.
Oversees the development of the annual operating budget, including all branch budgets. Guides the organization to make tough choices about what to stop, start, and continue. Works closely with operations staff to ensure that branch budgets are well-planned, realistic, and prepared in a timely manner.
Manages tax-exempt bond transactions and files all necessary reports. Establishes, maintains and/or monitors all banking and financing relationships.
Maintains all necessary records and accounting reports and records all transactions on a timely basis.
Maintains good working relationships with auditors, bankers, investment counselors, attorneys and other professional.
Working with volunteers will lead the association cyber security committee to ensure the security of our systems.

This position requires making and delivering breakfast and lunch as well as 1 snack to classrooms daily for approximately 75 children as well as thorough cleanup of dishes and kitchen area following all health and safety regulations. Also, completion of daily and monthly paperwork in accordance with CACFP guidelines. Must have or be willing to attain SERV Safe certification. Hours may vary but typically are 7:00am to 2:00pm Monday through Friday.
Membership associates are the face of the Y. Do you have a willingness to engage with members and serve our community as well as provide a welcoming atmosphere to all? The Y is here to serve the community and we need you to help us do that! This position requires excellent verbal communication, basic computer skills and attention to detail. Available shift is Monday thru Friday from 12pm to 5pm with occasional weekend shifts. 1 year customer service skills preferred.
We are hiring housekeeping staff for late evening and weekend shifts. Our goal is to enhance member experience by keeping our facility in a clean and orderly condition. Days and hours are Friday thru Tuesday from 8:30pm to 12:30am and Tuesday thru Saturday from 8:30pm thru 12:30am.

The Lebanon YMCA is hiring childcare teachers! Full-time and part-time school aged childcare positions are available at South Lebanon Elementary, Cornwall Elementary, Lingle Elementary, Northern Lebanon SD, and the YMCA location in Lebanon as well as our Childcare Centers. We are searching for passionate individuals to be a part of our before and after school childcare staff to include half-day kindergarten at South Lebanon and Lingle Elementary. The Arnold Early Learning Center and Rainbow Learning Centers also have positions available. Candidates must have an associate or bachelor’s degree to qualify or 2500 hours of documented childcare experience. Discounted childcare and a free YMCA membership while working for our program. Dynamic individuals needed to support the Youth Program Director in establishing a safe place for Lebanon youth in grades 6th through 12th. Staff will be responsible for encouraging socialization, exercise, learning, and play while incorporating the YMCA’s mission and core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility into the work of the Youth Center.

Leading group exercise classes is a great way to motivate and help others. Group strength training, cycle, and a variety of other classes to be offered Monday through Friday mornings and/or evenings and possibly Saturday mornings.
Now, full facility/full privilege members will have access rights to all YMCAs Nationwide. Members should bring their YMCA ID card and a photo ID card to access another Y. Some restrictions may apply depending on the YMCA and membership category such as youth and seniors. Members are encouraged to check with the Y they plan to visit ahead of time to learn the specifics.
