Lebanon YMCA Swim Team

Winter Team begins November 2nd – February 26th.  Sign up today and join the fun!

A competitive swim team that swims in the Mid Penn Swim League during the summer and the YMCA League during the winter. Swimmers compete against other YMCAs locally and nationally.

Weekly practices will focus on stroke proficiency, endurance, speed, starts, and finishes. Practices will be held at The Lebanon Valley Family YMCA, A.L. Hanford Center.  All swimmers must be YMCA members and pay a $75 annual maintenance fee per swimmer. Families with two or more swimmers will pay $125.

Payment:

  • Fees are based on a monthly schedule and will be drafted on the 15th of each month beginning November 15th through February 15th.
  • Swimmers continuing in March for post session meets will be drafted an additional month on March 15th

Financial assistance is available through our Partnership Program for those who qualify.

Family Members: $60
Youth Members: $80

Bronze Team

Beginner level new to competitive swimming. Must be able to swim a full of a 25 freestyle or backstroke. Ideal age 5 -10 years old

Practice will be held on the following day and time:

  • Monday @ 6:30-7:15pm
  • Wednesday and Friday @ 5:30pm – 6:15pm
  • Practice is held at the Y

 

Family Members: $100
Youth Members: $130

Silver Team

Swimmer who has competed at a competitive level for 3 seasons. Swimmer must be able to swim 3 of the 4 strokes.  Ideal age 11 – 14 years old.

Practice will be held on the following days and times:

  • Tuesday through Friday 6:15-7:15pm
  • Practice is held at the Y
Family Members: $190
Youth Members: $250

Gold Team

Advanced swimmer who can swim all 4 strokes legally.  Must be able to listen and follow directions being given, able to follow a pace clock and able to make interval times. Must attend 3 practices a week. Ideal age 12-18 years old.

Practice will be held on the following days and times:

  • Monday through Friday @ 7:15-8:45pm
  • Practice is held at the Y

My Y is Every Y

Now, full facility/full privilege members will have access rights to all YMCAs Nationwide. Members should bring their YMCA ID card and a photo ID card to access another Y. Some restrictions may apply depending on the YMCA and membership category such as youth and seniors. Members are encouraged to check with the Y they plan to visit ahead of time to learn the specifics.
