At the Y, we believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for quality of life and future success. We welcome children of all abilities. With varying needs, we can tailor our lesson plans to each individual child by utilizing Teaching Strategies GOLD in conjunction with the PA Early Learning Standards.
Our Arnold Early Learning Center, Ebenezer Childcare Center and Rainbow Learning Center are STAR 4 centers. Achieving a STAR 4 center requires the most stringent standards. We strive to create an atmosphere where children can have positive interactions and a well-rounded education. A diverse and inclusive program, we want families to experience a caring environment where everyone has a sense of belonging.
We are closed on New Years Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Closed on December 26th in observance of Christmas. On Christmas Eve and New Years Eve our centers close at 2pm. For registration information call 717-376-1384.
The Edward and Jeanne Arnold Early Learning Center strives for excellence and providing quality care. We offer care for children ages 6 weeks old through preschool age. Our days are busy with high quality learning and lots of fun. We go outside every day and are lucky to have use of the YMCA gym when the weather is bad. Children are provided a healthy breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. If your child has dietary restrictions, you may also pack your child’s lunch.
We are also proud to offer Pre-K Counts. This state funded program offers income eligible families a high quality Pre-K program taught by a Pennsylvania Department of Education Certified teacher. Priority is given to children who are currently the age of 4 and attending Kindergarten the following school year. Early enrollment is encouraged due to the high demand for the program.
The Rainbow Learning Center strives for excellence and providing quality care. We offer care for children ages 6 weeks old through preschool age. Our days are busy with high quality learning and lots of fun. We go outside every day weather permitting. Children are provided a healthy lunch and afternoon snack. *Follows Federal Holiday closures
