Counselor In Training Camp

Counselor in Training
June 22 - July 3

Being a Counselor in Training (CIT) offers a whole new world of knowledge and confidence! If you are ready to serve as a role model for younger campers and make a difference in the lives of many, than this program was made for you! The CIT program is a great steppingstone to becoming a camp counselor or leader in your community.

They will learn about their own leadership styles and get hands on experience teaching younger campers during their second week. All CITs receive an end of program review which help them decide on the next steps to take in their leadership experience.

  • Week 1: During their first week CIT’s will take have the chance to participate in camp like overnight campers, with leadership, professional development and facilitation training occurring throughout the week.
  • Week 2: During the second week, CITs will put their skills to the test by assisting camp staff at activities and unit times. We expect that each CIT will lead at least 2 of their own activities by the end of their second week. CITs will always be accompanied by staff members when teaching their own activities to assist them as required.

Our CIT program is available to those who are 15-17 years of age. CIT’s stay over the weekend during their two-week program.
